San Francisco Travel Association is the official destination marketing organization for the

City by the Bay. We are your San Francisco destination experts, providing

complimentary convention services that ensure both self-contained and citywide events

of all sizes succeed in providing an unforgettable attendee experience.


Our flagship services include complimentary planning, marketing, and destination

services for meeting and event professionals. Whether you are planning a major

citywide convention or a small meeting contained within a single hotel or venue, we

offer tailored and comprehensive support at every step of the way. Our Convention

Services team assists clients with hotel and venue site visits, selection, and coordination

in San Francisco and beyond—completely free of charge. We collaborate with more

than 250 hotels in San Francisco, and we work with trusted partners all over the Bay

Area. In addition to venue sourcing and convention services, San Francisco Travel also

offers a range of attendance-building and attendee engagement tools designed to

enhance the event experience for both attendees and planners. These include

customized marketing support, promotional content, photo and video assets,

customized websites, and convention welcome programs. Our convention attendee

program features curated and exclusive offers from our network of members for

conference attendees to enrich their experience. We can also connect clients with local

charitable organizations that align with your mission. Through our trusted network of

hospitality and community partners, we make it easier for planners to create memorable

events while maximizing the unique experiences that San Francisco has to offer.

organization reflects San Francisco’s authenticity and diversity with employees who have

How does your organization prioritize customer satisfaction and ensure a positive experience for its clients?

San Francisco Travel’s active involvement from start to finish aims to create an

exceptional experience for all parties involved. In collaboration with United Airlines, San

Francisco Travel is currently offering up to two complimentary flights for site visits when

you shortlist San Francisco as one of your top three destinations for sourcing new group

business. We will handle all the flight arrangements and coordinate your customized site

visit. We aim to connect with meeting planners face-to-face to better understand their

client value proposition, allowing us to not only customize a meaningful site visit, but

also the entire event experience. Our organization also offers personalized welcome

videos for your event from San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie and our CEO, Anna Marie

Presutti. These videos can include customized captions and subtitles in different

languages, providing welcoming content that’s accessible for your attendees. Even after

the event is over, San Francisco Travel helps collect post-convention data. Attendees can

share their experiences and sentiments that yield key insight to planners for future

events.


Can you share what your organization is doing to create diverse, inclusive and equitable meetings experiences?

The San Francisco Travel Association is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and

accessibility in promoting unique San Francisco experiences and elevating voices in

various local communities that speak to travelers from around the world. Our website

features a dedicated LGBTQIA+ section, detailing the community’s longstanding impact

and history in San Francisco. Our organization's complimentary meeting planner services

allows for customized support and specialized resources tailored around the core value

of your event, including LGBTQIA+ resources. This also includes addressing and

accommodating accessibility needs to ensure that everyone can experience your event

in a positive and equitable manner. Beyond the event, we inspire attendees to explore

authentic cultural experiences by curating itineraries that help them engage in a diverse

range of local experiences.


Why is it important to your organization to support the LGBTQIA+ community?

Supporting the LGBTQIA+ community is important to our organization because we

believe that everyone is welcome in San Francisco. This city is known as the LGBTQIA+

capital of the world because our historic commitment to diversity continues to shape

the way we embrace people of different backgrounds and beliefs. This spirit of

acceptance is one of the many reasons why people are drawn to the city. This

connection spreads from local neighborhoods to global communities, positioning San

Francisco as a top destination for everyone. We believe that celebrating voices within

the LGBTQIA+ community fosters a more inclusive travel experience. By championing
